Christie's Mill Inn and Spa Wedding

The morning of Amy and Brittny’s wedding, I looked out the window and nearly jumped for joy. The skies were crystal clear, and the temperatures were perfect for a September day. This wedding was held at Christie’s Mill Inn, in Port Severn, Ontario. A little piece of heaven at the edge of the lake — that was my first thought upon arriving. With sweeping gardens and a huge second-story balcony in the front, this venue was dressed to impress! In the back, a spacious lawn reached to the water’s edge, where “Little Lake” was anything but little, offering panoramic views straight out of a magazine! A small beach area and outdoor restaurant completed the scene; perfect for a peaceful getaway!

Inside the hotel, I was greeted by a sophisticated blend of country charm and modern finishings; a theme carried from the lobby into the guest rooms. The size of the Honeymoon Suite was overwhelming (my assistant and I agreed that the bathroom alone was larger than an average bedroom!), but the warm linen textures and cozy stone fireplace brought a comfortable atmosphere to the space. Oh, and then there was the window light…oh, the light!
