As far as unique engagement session venues go, this one wins. Most people do not have access to their own private airplane and an airport from which to fly. When this couple asked if I would photograph their airplane engagement session I couldn't turn away such an interesting and unique opportunity!
We began the portrait session on the runway with some fun images of the couple cuddled up against the cool breeze and the plane in the background. As the session progressed, I couldn't wait to come up with more creative airport engagement pictures for them. In this particular shot, I placed them between the wing and the propeller to frame their faces and show connection between both elements of the image. Making this a monochrome photograph added simplicity by removing the distracting colours and patterns and allowed the viewers to really see the faces of the couple clearly. I love the way the bride-to-be's hair is blowing in the wind, perfectly on theme for an airport engagement session!
